Brisbane Transport

The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre’s central city location is convenient for visitors with easy and direct access to an efficient citywide transport network of buses, trains, taxis and the river’s high-speed regular catamaran service.


AIRPORT TO BRISBANE CBD


Brisbane International and Domestic Airport is located approximately 18kms from the venue and can be reached via taxi, bus or hire car.

Taxi

The venue is a 20 minute taxi ride from Brisbane Airport. Taxi ranks are located outside the main entrance to the Convention Centre, at Mantra South Bank in Grey Street, and there is a taxi drop off located at the Grey Street main entrance. Airtrain

Catch the Airtrain from Brisbane’s international and domestic airports to South Brisbane Station, the Convention Centre is then an 8 minute walk away.

Airtrain links Brisbane’s international and domestic airports to South Brisbane station in Brisbane CBD. One way trip takes approximately  22 minutes, and then the Convention Centre is another short 8 minutes walk away. Airtrain operates seven days a week. Trains depart every 15 minutes in peak periods and depart every 30 minutes in non-peak, Monday to Friday. All services on Saturday & Sunday operate every 30 minutes.

GETTING AROUND BRISBANE


Taxi

Taxi ranks are located outside the main entrance to the Convention Centre, at Mantra South Bank in Grey Street and there is a taxi drop off located at the Grey Street entrance.

Trains

There are two train stations within a five minute walk of the Convention Centre. These are; South Bank Station, accessed from Tribune Street, and South Brisbane Railway Station adjacent to the Convention Centre in Grey Street.

Bus Services

South Bank is serviced by two bus stations: The Cultural Centre Station on Melbourne Street and the South Bank Busway Station corner of Colchester and Tribune Streets, South Bank. A free city loop bus service circles Brisbane’s Central Business District including South Bank.

City Cats

A popular and speedy way to travel the river. The CityCat terminal is located outside the riverside restaurants on the riverside promenade. CityCats operate daily from 5.30am to 10.30pm.
